… THE STRONG WINDS WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON WEDNESDAY TO
MIDNIGHT CST WEDNESDAY EVENING …

* WHAT… Southwesterly winds gusting up to 65 mph will develop in
in the afternoon then veer west at night. The highest threat
because the very strong winds will be in the late afternoon until the evening.

* O… Portions of south-central and southeastern South Dakota,
northeastern Nebraska and northwest and west-central Iowa. This
includes the tribal lands of the Yankton Sioux tribal nation.

* WHEN… From Wednesday noon to Wednesday evening midnight CST.

* IMPACTS… Destructive winds will knock down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. The trip will be
difficult, especially for high-end vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY / PREPARATION ACTIONS …

People should avoid being outdoors in and around wooded areas
trees and branches. If possible, stay in the lower levels of
your house during the windstorm and avoid windows. Be careful though
you have to drive.
