PHOTO REPORT: Disneyland and Disney California Adventure (10/25/21): A rainy day at Disneyland as Christmas approaches

Hi Hi Hi ! We headed to the Disneyland Resort on that rainy day to see the new stuff. In the past, a rainstorm like this may have made us consider going on another day, but with park passes so scarce until a replenishment we can’t pass up. the opportunity to walk through the doors and soak up the magic. Join us as we tour the two parks in a large circle.

The price increases start the day. Ticket prices have also gone up, and the high-end Magic Key pass, the Dream Key, which allows free parking, is sold out.

Inside the park, it was a rainy day, but a good crowd was always ready to weather the storm, especially before it hit hard.

At 20th Century Music on Main Street, US, guests can get an Open Edition Marvel Brooch for $ 9.99 on a cardboard backing or $ 99.99 on a frame. It’s the same pin, just framed for 10 times the price.

Birds line Tinker Bell’s guidewire as the storm approaches.

Snow hit the castle a few days ago, and the installation is still in progress. We wanted to see the decorations being installed up close.

The little dots are LED lights that will light up at night for the snowfall show.

Electric cables are suspended to interface with the ice lights that have not yet been installed.

In Toontown, Baby Herman’s cigar is now held sideways as before. Reports have emerged from several social media accounts that this cigar was taken down a few weeks ago, but its arm has just been brought closer to the inside of the cart, making it harder to spot. Now he’s back and in full view.

The Lightning Lane approach has started in earnest. “It’s a Small World” removed the Fastpass entrance sign from the marquee.

The attraction is currently undergoing renovations as the vacation overlay is installed. The trail was drained and workers could be seen preparing the site for the coming rain.

At Frontierland, the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has been closed for a few weeks for renovations. And today we noticed that not only the The Fastpass entrance sign has been removed, but the Lightning Lane sign has been installed.

Despite the Lightning Lane sign, the water tower still says “FastPass Distribution” even though the FastPass machines were retired several weeks ago.

Christmas decorations have arrived in New Orleans Square and garlands can be found on just about any surface they can be mounted on.

The classic moons of Santa Claus were also hung from the trees.

At Port Royal Curios and Curiosities, the Christmas decorations on the outside belied the Halloween merchandise inside.

Oogie Boogie Bash products are now available in New Orleans Square. The once exclusive party merchandise has since become available to all guests, and now in both parks.

Ok, it’s time for the treasure hunt. Who knows where that Mr. Smee roof support post is? Drop your answer in the comments below.

As the rain began to fall, the Batuu resistance fighters put on their rain ponchos. It’s rare to see rain gear in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge West, so it’s a nice surprise. These ponchos are the same style that General Leia Organa wore on Endor.

Following Star Wars updates, Star Trader in Tomorrowland has these cool new Spirit jerseys from Skywalker Academy.

And Star Wars Launch Bay may be tiptoeing towards reopening, as this sign has been spotted on the front.

It started to fall hard later in the afternoon, sending a flood of poncho-clad guests scurrying for shelter in the shops.

At World of Disney we found this beautiful Starbucks ceramic tumbler with a retro-inspired Disneyland design.

In The Disney Dress Shop we found a Dooney & Bourke “Walt’s Holiday Lodge” three-piece set.

And a matching button-down denim shirt.

A slight break in the downpour resulted in some great shots of Grizzly Peak.

At Elias & Co. we’ve found a whole host of new Star Wars clothing.

We also found this cool new Darkwing Duck t-shirt, perfect when it’s time to get dangerous.

The rain made for some great photos, like here along Route 66 coming out of Radiator Springs.

In the Backlot Premiere store we found a pair of new Avengers shirts for kids and adults.

Due to the rain, most of the outdoor attractions have been closed, so the Increcoaster sits right at the launch point, waiting for clearer weather.

At Toy Story Midway Mania, Mr. Potato Head is behind curtains. But he looks …

… Always to watch.

And finally, Grizzly River Run is the first DCA attraction to receive a Lightning Lane entrance sign. Much like Big Thunder Mountain, however, the other signs around the entrance haven’t changed yet.
