North Country prepares for spring snow

Plattsburgh highway superintendent says they prepare for snow once or twice every spring

As snow hits our region, crews are working to keep the roads safe. Plattsburgh Highway Superintendent Timmy Dubrey reminds everyone to slow down on the roads as salt and sand mix will not be used. “We have a few snowplow trucks set up and everything ready to go. Usually it’s our highest elevation that gets snow. In the valley, I think the ground temperatures will be high enough to not worry too much about it. But if there is, we’ll round up enough guys,” Dubrey said.

As the snow hits our region, teams are busy keeping the roads safe.
